Midwest City 1948 Ford Patrol Car

Antique auto enthusiasts.  OLEMHOF is initiating a PR Program/Membership Program where we will use Midwest City’s 1948 Ford police car at parades, conventions, civic club activities and old car shows to promote the Museum and Hall of Fame.  The car will be the symbol of our 2013 Membership Drive. We need to refurbish the auto and put it into running condition.  We need auto experts, mechanics, painters, and Ford dealership people, and volunteers with truck and trailer to help us haul it around.  We need people to talk about the Museum and Hall of Fame so we can bring badly needed revenue into the Foundation.

And this is only one project where the OLEMHOF needs assistance.

Want to help the Foundation?  No pay, but plenty of personal benefit!

The Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Museum and Hall of Fame is looking for community service volunteers to assist the Board in its planning, drafting, and presentation of Museum and Hall of Fame activities.  Volunteers will work around active and retired law enforcement officers, law enforcement agencies and administrators. Much of what you volunteer to do will be through electronic means.  Your interest and activity could lead to a position on our Board of Directors in the future.

We have a number of volunteer committee assignments available:

Secretary’s/Treasurer’s Committee:  Persons are needed to assist the Secretary and Treasurer with upkeep of the website; assist in drafting and design of our “Constant Contact” newsletter; plus provide technical IT knowledge and applications support that the Secretary lacks.  We also need technical advice and support with records retention and retrieval.  Additional activities will include maintenance of the enabling documents of the Foundation, filings with the Secretary of State, and maintenance of governmental reporting requirements.

Museum Committee:  People are needed to assist in the planning, archiving, researching, and presentation of law enforcement artifacts.  Persons with experience producing “virtual” and “PowerPoint” presentations are needed.

Hall of Fame Committee:  Volunteers can assist with writing policy, reviewing applications, researching people and events, proof reading documents, public relations/news dissemination. Activities can include help with the induction ceremony, PR events and related activities.

Membership Committee:  The OLEMHOF has 3 classes of membership – Regular, Life, and Founding.  We need assistance cultivating memberships of individuals and   corporations.  .

Fund Raising Committee:  The OLEMHOF currently is designing a fund raising effort involving law enforcement education professional seminars.  We need volunteers to plan, administer, promote and work at these seminars.  Seminars are planned to be certified and professional charging a minimum attendance fee for the training.  Persons with law enforcement education ideas and experience are needed.
